The members of OminOtagO are not only passionate about music- here's a list of things we are doing every day to support a positive global change (we hope you'll do 'em too!) *Recycle (of course!): If you don't know how, look here... *Support local businesses: Check out our top 5 favorites! *Go Organic (for the planet and yourself): And this isn't just food! Organic clothes, soaps, make-up, & more, are now easier to find. Look below for info... *Donate: From cash to old clothes- you can make a huge difference so easily. Go here to buy a Global Warming Bracelet- 100% of the profits are donated to the Global Warming Fund. *Don't Litter: It poisons our soil and groundwater. Not to mention that it makes our neighborhood clean-up days a lot longer! info... *Save Energy: Did you know you can purchase green power for your house, apt., and/or business? We're switching to renewable energy at home by the end of this summer and will be charging a PA battery (with our green energy) for use during all of our live shows! *Carpool: If you're like us and can't afford a hybrid vehicle -do what you can to cut back on emissions. Ride to work with a fellow employee and offer to pay for half of the gas- you will both save moolah and you'll help the planet at the same time (talk about a no-brainer!) If you decide to ride a bicycle: please familiarize yourself with the biking rules of the road. *Spread the Word: Be a role model in your community (it sounds cheesy- but it's truly vital to spread the word!) Educate yourself and others about the dangers of global warming and how we can help. It's time to stop ignoring the big picture! TAGO (Take Action, Go Organic!) WHAT ARE ORGANICS? They are goods that are grown and produced without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, and other chemicals and genetically modified organisms. It's basically the purest stuff you can buy these days- which makes it safer for you and the planet! Organic fruits and veggies have more vitamins and minerals than regular produce- that's one reason why we don't mind spending a little extra. In fact, I can't remember the last time Beau and I had to buy medicine- even Advil or Tums! Eating healthier will save you money in the long run. BUT! Be aware that some products labeled "organic" or "all natural"-- aren't actually! PLEASE research before you buy. WHAT IS TAGO? We promote organic farming and the green movement through communication, art, and community projects like the T.T.T. (JOIN the TAGO Trash Team) |
